When Dream Wife released their debut album earlier this year, NME indicated that this was the band they had been waiting for for such a long time. Rakel Mjöll, Alice Go and Bella Podpadec met while they were studying art in Brighton, and decided to form a “fake girl band” as an art project. They wrote some songs and recorded a Spinal Tap-style documentary, which quickly became a huge success. The whole “fake girl band” idea became reality, and the project soon became a real-life band. The band went on to record their first album in a flow of spontaneity, without forgetting to write catchy-chorus songs, and soon became well-liked by a public of critics. Dream Wife brings “glimmering punk-pop”, with their trademark sing-a-long songs and catchy guitar riffs.
