Curated by Shame

Since forming in the din of a house party two years ago, PVA are the genre-hopping passion project of London musicians Ella Harris, Josh Baxter and Louis Satchell. The three piece traverse fistfuls of genres throughout their rapturous live sets, incorporating techno landscapes, Balearic euphoria, and industrial miasma within the same songs. The band’s unique energy combines with blocky synths, autotuned vocals and motorik drum loops to earmark the group as one of the UK capital’s foremost new bands.

Their music mutates and warps around an array of genres,” says Dominic Haley in a feature for Loud and Quiet: They’re both brutal, and dripping in underground cool, but accessible and totally danceable.”

PVA are working with producer Dan Carey towards their debut release due for the end of the year on his prestigius label Speedy Wunderground, whose previous releases include Squid, Black Country New Road and Black Midi. They are also working towards two more physical releases for the new year with Council Records, who have recently released the likes of Johnny Greenwood and The Wants (US).
