Former member of the bands Cajun Dance Party and Yuck, Daniel Blumberg has really found his musical DNA in his solo project, which places him somewhere on the line between emotional songsmith and extreme improvisation artist.

Daniel Blumberg is a musician and artist from London which has released two solo albums on Mute: 'Minus' (2018) and 'On&On' (2020), and composed the score for the film The World To Come (dir. Mona Fastvold, 2020) which was also released on vinyl/CD by Mute.

Blumberg, a prolific collaborator, has worked with players including Elvin Brandhi, Peter Brötzmann, Josephine Foster, Keiji Haino, Ute Kanngiesser, Steve Noble, Billy Steiger, Tom Wheatley and Jim White.

Alongside his solo output he operates in the multi-disciplinary duo GUO with saxophonist Seymour Wright, who have released an ongoing series of live documents including GUO4 (Mute, 2019), and works with Elvin Brandhi as BAHK.

Blumberg is also a visual artist who draws with silverpoint. He has exhibited at Deichtorhallen Hamburg, Kunsthal Rotterdam, Union Gallery London and MACRO Rome.
